Technical Details
The BFD-2 laboratory freeze dryer features benchtop which is small footprint. It adopts the same design concept as the pilot-scale freeze dryer, such as the 2-chamber system, temperature controlled shelves and the PLC based controller. And it offers similar performance specifications to the pilot ones.
2-Chamber System
Drying chamber and ice condenser are separate, connected by a spool piece and an isolation valve can be installed between to perform pressure rise test. The drying chamber is rectangular shape that offers maximum space using rate, and the ice condenser is cylindrical shape for easy defrost and water drain.
Fluid Based Shelves
The shelves are sandwich type that enable heat transfer fluid circulates inside. The fluid can be chilled and heated, and the temperature is settable. Thus, the BFD-2 system is capable of in place freeze and drying. Fluid based shelf system guarantees maximum temperature uniformity. And in-place freezing and drying reduce product transfer times and avoid contamination risk, ensures hygiene freeze drying.
Wide Applications
Available in bulk and stoppering type shelves. Enable raw products to be dried in trays, vials or in microtubes (capable of capping under vacuum environment). Bulk model offers max 3 useable shelves total 0.26m2 area, stoppering model offers max 2 useable shelves total 0.17m2 area.
