Technical Details
The BFD-5 pilot freeze dryer is cGLP compliant and has the similar technical features to the commercial larger units such as the PLC based controller, versatile control system, temperature controlled shelves and pressure control. Which enable it fits a wide array of freeze drying applications from laboratory R+D to small batch test.
Easy to Install
The BFD-5 freeze dryer is all-in-one design, all its subsystems and components (drying chamber, ice condenser, vacuum pump, refrigeration, electric cabinet and the pipe work etc.) are constructed in a steel cabinet. With casters and height adjustable feet for easy moving and installing.
The machine is pre-assembled and is comprehensively tested in our factory before it is shipped. User only need connect electric (and compressed air in some case) to put it into service.
2-Chamber System
Drying chamber and ice condenser are separate, connected by a spool piece and an isolation valve can be installed between to perform pressure rise test. The drying chamber is rectangular shape that offers maximum space using rate, and the ice condenser is cylindrical shape for easy defrost and water drain.
Temperature Controlled Shelves
The shelves are sandwich type and is fluid based that enable heat transfer fluid circulates inside. The fluid can be chilled and heated, and the temperature is settable. Thus, the BFD-5 system is capable of in place freeze and drying. Fluid based shelf system guarantees maximum temperature uniformity. And in-place freezing and drying reduce product transfer times and avoid contamination risk, ensures hygiene freeze drying.
Precisely Temperature Control
Fluid based shelf system has very high temperature controllability and without worry the temperature uniformity. As with PID control, the temperature variance between heat-plates and plate points are less than +/-1C. Uniform temperature across the shelf system directly influences the dried quality between trays and between batches, so that you can get constant freeze drying results, this is very import for your tests.
